Pastor Harvin was ordained in October 2001 and called to pastor the Jerusalem Baptist Church of Hopkins, South Carolina in May 2002. He served as Vice-Moderator for the Wateree Baptist Association Upper Division from October 2004-2008. In October 2008, Pastor Harvin was elected Moderator of the Wateree Baptist Association Upper Division's Annual Meeting.
