A convention of churches dismissed from the Pee Dee Association at its eleventh annual session was held in the meetinghouse of the Shiloh Baptist Church, commencing at 9:30 AM.

Brother Benjamin Lawson was called to chair and Brother Edward M. Brawley was requested to act as Secretary.

The chairman, after conduction devotional exercises for thirty minutes, made and address and stated the object of the meeting, which was the organization of a new Association.

An invitation was extended to all churches in good and regular standing, who desired to do so, to enroll their names. The names of forty-three churches and their messengers were accordingly enrolled.
