- A convention of churches dismissed from the Pee Dee Association at its eleventh annual session was held in the meetinghouse of the Shiloh Baptist Church, commencing at 9:30 AM.
- Brother Benjamin Lawson was called to chair and Brother Edward M. Brawley was requested to act as Secretary.
- The chairman, after conduction devotional exercises for thirty minutes, made and address and stated the object of the meeting, which was the organization of a new Association.
- An invitation was extended to all churches in good and regular standing, who desired to do so, to enroll their names. The names of forty-three churches and their messengers were accordingly enrolled.
